Marc's practice focuses on patent law, both in advisory and litigation matters, related competition law issues as well as other intellectual property rights (trademark law, copyright law, design law). 

Before joining Schertenleib Avocats, Marc worked as a lawyer in a European IP boutique and in the IP/IT department of an international law firm. 

Marc was also Law Clerk for the intellectual property judges (3rd civil chamber) of Lyon Court of First Instance. This experience allowed him to prepare more than 50 IP cases for the judges, to attend hearings and deliberations, and to draft decisions.  

He completed internships in various intellectual property departments of French and international law firms as well as in the European IP and civil litigation department of the leading international group in the luxury goods market. 

 

Marc is fluent in French and in English.

  • Represented a major player in aesthetic medicine in a dispute over know-how (claim for more than 150 million euros) and two patents relating to a process for manufacturing hyaluronic acid fillers

  • Represented a manufacturer of hydroalcoholic and professional cleaning solutions in proceedings to revoke a 145 CPC order relating to alleged misappropriation of know-how
